This is the artwork for Emnity's Lost Prodigy
Creating most of these works took a lot of time, procrastination and motivation. I decided that each chapter should have at least one illustration, and no less I would create them in an old format, the kind one would see in old paper back novels long ago when the printing presses didn't have the quality standard you see today. Too bad I have absoulutely no freaking experience in making it, so until I get around to it, here are the sketches. I remembered opening up many yellow stained pages to read, finding blotchy over saturated black print illustrations and in a way it was nostalgic. I admired the talent of making something in either black or not black, though frequently the drawings themselves were not well developed.
For the black and white images, all of them were drawn on paper in graphite (original, I know) Then digitally enhanced to correct the brightness levels, correct the lighting gradient and flare it with over the top contrast. Usually it took just as much time correcting the black and white images as it took actually drawing them. Each presenting over an hours worth of work in both drawing and again in editing. To which, I'd look at them a few weeks later and realize I couldn't see SQUAT... Then have to remake them again. So... Not a lot of them here.
Overall I enjoyed the process, but I ain't got much to show for it and have moved onto newer projects.
